Aparições é uma série de pinturas de silhuetas de antigas edificações da cidade de São Paulo, que desapareceram em razão de transformações ocorridas no tecido urbano da cidade de São Paulo durante o século XX. Tendo de base registros fotográficos feitos através do aplicativo de localização espacial Google Maps e Street View, localizamos sobre estes registros a posição em que se encontrava as construções pesquisadas no traçado urbano atual da cidade.

 

A série Aparições é parte do grupo de trabalhos chamado Desvios, conjuntamente com as séries Lábaros e Deslocamentos. Desvios é resultado de uma imersão nas transformações ocorridas no tecido urbano paulistano.

Apparitions are a series of paintings of silhouettes of old buildings of the city of São Paulo, which disappeared due to transformations occurred in the urban fabric of the city of São Paulo during the twentieth century. Based on photographic records made using the Google Maps and Street View spatial location application, we find on these records the position of the buildings surveyed in the current urban layout of the city.

 

The Appearances series is part of the group called Desvios, together with the series Lábaros and Deslocamentos. Deviations are the result of an immersion in the transformations that occurred in the urban fabric of São Paulo.
